I’m always thinking I should write more stuff but I can’t be bothered
Guys, this is really, really terrible. I’ve been neglecting my site for months now. Even worse, since I launched it earlier this year two excellent books on responsive/adaptive web design have come out and I bought an e-book version of them both (shipping to Iceland is costly!) and read them thoroughly. Nothing has happened since and now it’s time for a change and it’s upon me know to make something better of this site.
But first, we must brace ourselves, for ATypI Reykjavik 2011 is upon us. Have a great weekend, y’all!
Jessica Hische is awesome
Jessica Hische is one of those great characters that make cool stuff and can say so much about it without being boastful about it. A lot is to be learned from this kind of people. Hische recently gave this awesome talk at the Build Conference in Belfast, Ireland. It’s long, but it’s well worth watching — never a dull moment!
The Future of Art
This great new documentary by Gabriel Shalom is a fresh look on the creative world of today.
Organic graphic design

“Pretty pathogen? Not really. But they can certainly be interesting, in all their shapes, sizes and forms.”
Mentor and friend Bjarni Helgason recently realized a long-time dream of starting his own screenprinting studio. Based in Reykjavik, Iceland, The Organelle draws its inspiration from nature in both works and methods of printing by using organic chemicals printed on organic cotton fabric.
The artwork is based on Bjarni’s rough but beautiful illustrations of nature’s wonders, such as the domestic fly, viruses and extinct species.
Visit The Organelle to take a closer look and maybe order a t-shirt or two.
